A Lightning Strike?
Billy Gregory-Haines, 41, and wife Maria, 39, were watching television in their home at L’Islet.‘Maria saw this streak come straight through the glass porch, then a double-glazed door, and shoot across the room,’ he said.‘I saw it out of the corner of my eye as I was sitting at a different angle.’The couple watched as a ball, the colour of lightning, stopped for a split second about a foot from the TV screen and about 18 inches off the floor before leaving the same way as it had entered.
Oh, sure. We really believe it was just lightening. And the govt's not keeping those aliens from Roswell hidden at Area 51 either.

Maybe it was an alien who just wanted to catch a bit of TV before heading back to Alpha Centauri for dinner? :)
Just checking us out before the big invasion. Didn't everyone see "Independence Day" for pete's sake. Lightning, sure.
Eh, then we don't have to worry for about 50 more years. ;)
Then we clearly need to start preparing now.
We'll get around to it eventually... like maybe in 40 years. That's about the scale being used for solving the Social Security problem. You know, if we hadn't laughed at Al Gore for saying "lockbox," it might be easier.
