Books

USA Today reports this good news:

"Driven away by bombs, dispirited by shelves emptied by looters, visitors to the public library in Baghdad's Khadamiya district are now starting to return."

I believe strongly in freedom of expression. Access to books is critical for such freedom to thrive. And I just like libraries. Libraries and book stores!

The article doesn't mention what kinds of books are in the library. Hopefully, they are not of this order:

"BOOKS of hate promoting jihad, hostility to Australia and "wiring up one's body" for suicide attacks are for sale in bookshops in Sydney's Muslim community."
