new Anime movie opening in NY and LA. What exactly is Anime? It's time for me to learn this.

In a nutshell, Anime is Japanese animation which is stylistically different from American animation. Apart from the odd feature film (such as the classic Ghost in the Shell) I'm not particularly into Japanese animation or comics. Maybe EW might be able to answer your question more accurately.
