Anti-War Protesters Camp Near Bush Ranch
Have you ever spent any time in Texas in August? It's horribly hot and humid. It's ugly. So these protestors stand out in the sweating sun while Bush drives by in an air conditioned car.
Since their protest is completely meaningless and won't change anyone's mind about anything (after all there are a whole lot of families who've lost loved ones in Iraq who support Bush), who's really winning this one?

Who is winning this one? The media and the anti-war left who now have a cause celeb. But it's a win that will go no where.
Bush won't meet with her. At the end of August she returns to California and the media moves on to the next newsworthy event.
Bush gets some national heat for a few weeks and it's over. Meeting with her would have a far more negative impact on him than avoiding her will.
That may seem cold and heartless but it's a fact none the less. It doesn't make it right just truth.
So Bush said that he mourns for each death in Iraq. Is that what he needs all the vacations for? All the mourning?

I think Ms. Sheehan may have jumped the shark...she is now being quoted as demanding that Israel withdraw from "Palestine". I think they call that "mission creep".
