Working on the Chain Gang

Some companies are cracking down on employees' off-duty behavior, raising questions about how far employers should go in policing what workers do on their own time.


Employers are ratcheting up their efforts to monitor employees, in more cases adding staff whose job it is to read workers' outgoing e-mail.

Can you imagine how incredibly dull that job would be? For every entertaining rant about management you'd have to wade through 100s of boring and completely unobjectionable messages. I wonder how much the job pays?
